19556.gifExercise Before I even touch the computer….that is what I am going to do from now on.  As soon as I get on my computer, I am in blogging mode (and it doesn’t help that I am just alittle addicted to blogging–just ask my hubby).  So this morning, I took a longing glance at my computer, then did some exercising.  It wasn’t much (due to the fact that I am REALLY out of shape and have a baby guunt–that is my tummy—or what used to be my tummy).  It was only stretching.  But I figured I should be able to move for the real exercising.  But it did take me 10 minutes to do the basic stretches and I was sweating and out of breath.  How sad…but I guess I have to start somewhere.  But I did it.  And I ate a healthy breakfast of banana, coffee, and fruit chips.  YUM!

So go to Kris’s blog to find other fantastic rubies!

PS:  I have already failed for today…been on the computer 3 times and have not exercised…man…habits (and blogging addictions) die hard.

19556.gifThis week our assignment is:  “What do we do to keep communication open or nice things we do for our loved ones?”

My hubby and I have been together for almost 8 years.  In that time, I almost always wake up with him and make him lunch.  Even if it is a PB&J sandwich, I wake up with him.  It gives us time alone to talk for alittle bit, see each other, compare notes, etc.  Yea, it is at 4:30 AM.  Yea, that is way too early.  But he has to get up that early…why shouldn’t I?  And after he leaves, it gives me time to myself…usually I use the time for blogging.  I gotta be nice to me too!

And as for our kids–Our oldest plays computer games with his dad and I let him stay up late to talk with him.  And our daughter is only 1 1/2 but she does love it when it is nap time for the twins.  Kincaid plays on the computer and then it is just me and her…and she loves it.  Today we danced to some music and then I got Kincaid off the computer and we colored the snow in our yard red and green with food coloring and colored sugar.  Kind of lame, I know, but they didn’t think so.

Then at night, I give each of our twins some one-on-one time.  They each get to be held and loved for 1/2 hour and then I play on the floor with both of them.  Yea, this sounds very time consuming, but isnt’ that why I stay home with them in the first place.  I know it isn’t for the money.  If it were, I would need a really big raise.  Now go and check out all the other rubies for the week.

1toy82-thumb.jpgI imagine if you have multiples, you always feel like that.  I was reading a multiples blog last nite (I am so sorry I can’t remember whose it was so I can’t share any linky love) and their post reminded me of going grocery shopping with my twins.

I had the twins and my 1 1/2 daughter.  All I need to get was formula, baby food, and milk–sounds easy, doesn’t it.  But you would be surprised.  Even before I got into the store, I was stopped 2 times.  So 15 minutes later, I finally reach the front doors of the store.  I get my cart and am stopped again.  10 minutes later, I am able to start shopping for my 3 items.

I make the mistake of stopping for a cracker taste–20 minutes shot…cause she has twin granddaughters…so I have to talk to her and compare notes.  Finally I am on my way.

Everytime I stop, everytime the twins make a sound, every isle, every grandparent, every little girl, almost everystep, someone must look the twins, squeeze their cheeks, tell me how blessed I am, that it will get better, that they wished they had twins—are you kidding me?!

I love my kids…all of them…but the twins were very unexpected and alot of work.  They are not only alot of work but we must put in double time with our other 2 kids so they don’t feel left out.

So, that was the last time I took my twins to the store.  I think it was the last time I took them out period (unless to the doctor).

I love my kids, but I will begin charging admission to my 3 ring circus.  How does $1.00 a cheek squeeze sound?

Ok everyone…this Meme is brand new.  It is kinda for SAHM (stay at home moms).  For more information, check out Kris’s blog.

But here are the answers to her questions…get to know you questions:

  • – Give some general info about your family: # of kids and ages (if you feel comfortable giving that info out), # of years as a SAHM, does your husband work at home or outside the home?

Well, we have 4 kids–5 years, 1 1/2 years, and 8 month old twin boys…yikes.  I have been a SAHM since my oldest was born.  My hubby works out of the home.

  • – Do you work in or outside of the home? If so, how many hours per week and what is your schedule like?

I kinda work in the home…I am working at becoming a problogger/freelance writer.  My schedule—5am–start to blog–about 7 or 8 am–spend time with kids–naptime–blog–about 3–cleaning and time with kids–dinner–time with kids and hubbie–about 9 or 10 pm—more blogging until about midnight or 2am..yea…kind of crazy…but I have made 30 cents so for!

  • – What helps you get through your week? Do you use a planner or “to-do” list? Are you organized or do you fly by the seat of your pants?

Blogging helps me get through the week.  I have something of my very own and I get to socialize.  I do have a planner that I take everywhere with me.  I try to plan stuff out but I usually end up flying by the seat of my pants and by the seat of my kid’s diapers.

  • – Do your children help around the house? chores? cooking? If they don’t do much, do you wish they did more?

My oldest helps with picking up and other things I ask him to do.  No cooking or dishes ( oh how I can’t wait for him to be tall enough for the dishes) but he does help himself to the fridge.  My 1 1/2 year old does help sometimes.  The twins are really good at pooping.

  • – What do you want to do better? What area of your life is a stumbling block for you? Would you like prayer for a specific thing this week?

I always feel like I could be a better mom.

Well, that is all she wrote.  See ya next week.  I hope this catches on!
