I have some kids, with a side of twins
November 14, 2007 by cathicollins
I have 4 kids-two single birth and a set of twins, and yes, it is as overwhelming as you think it is, but times 30. This blog is a place for all families who have multiples in their family who need support, resources, or just a good read and a laugh. My busy family is always busy and changing, just like this blog. So come back and visit me…belive me…do I have some stories for you!

They’re adorable! I’m a twin and although I have not raised twins, I have been raised on the stories about what life was like when one of us slept and the other cried, etc..
I wish you well, advise you to never give them anything to share, and to lean hard on your friends.
I can’t believe I just stumbled upon this website! We have four boys - 2 single births then twins. Our twins are now 7. I remember the no-sleep-tons-of-diapers-mounds-of-laundry days like they were yesterday. I am here to say, you do live to tell about it later. If you can survive the first year or so, it’s all downhill from there. The kids will always outnumber you and there will always be lots of laundry. That part doesn’t change, but they do get to be a little more self sufficient. Try to enjoy the baby stage. I know it’s so hard, but if you blink they will be 7 like mine.
Always remember to set aside one-on-one time with your older two children (even if it’s just an hour once a month). Having twins is like being a celebrity. Everyone wants to look at them, touch them, and talk about them - all while the older two children stand by unnoticed. Find ways to make your older two children feel special too. Enjoy!!
